Attachment 13: Different systems of governance
The key role players in the political arena of Southern Africa cannot always be seen by their names, but by the results of their actions. Their actions have a direct influence on the lives of the people who live inside the country they control. In this document, we are concerned about the genocide of the people in South Africa, in particular, the murder of minority groups.
Before the Union of South Africa was forced upon the people of Southern Africa, they people were in favour of a confederation. Since the governance brought about by the Union of South Africa had developed from a military to a democratic system of rulership, there has been an ever increasing pressure on South Africans to accept a Socialist system of governance, as a transitional period to a Communist system of governance. In 1994, the African National Congress political party took over governance of South Africa on the condition that it would govern by upholding a democratic system. However, the African National Congress does, by essence, represent a socialist system, and is greatly influenced by her alliance with the South African Communist Party, which endorses a communist system.
In this attachment we will discuss the different governance systems, and the key role players who support them, with special reference to the Swiss Canton System.
A. Definition of a Confederation System and key role players who supported it in South Africa.
B. Definition of a Democratic System
C. Definition of a Socialist System
D. Definition of a Communist System
E. The Swiss Canton System
F. Omnitacy
