ICA in Oman
Maqsood Ahmad Ansari is the representative and team leader of ICA in Oman.
Maqsood is a chemical engineer, having qualified from the Lahore University of Engineering and technology, but his passion is education.
When he realised that education for poor people in Pakistan was not possible, he took the initiative in 2009 to open a non-profit school in his area, Multan. His team is presently starting a 2nd school branch
Maqsood works with a strong team in Oman, and a Board of Directors who support him and works with him. He said that as a team, they had been struggling for change in Pakistan to achieve a justice system in all sectors of life. Maqsood believes that the only way to improve education in Oman is through opening Pakistani schools. There are now five Pakistani schools in Oman which are under the Oman ministry of education.
